Being the flagship conference of the Swiss Center for Ontological Research (SCOR), the Swiss Colloquium on Applied Ontology (SCAO) serves as a venue in Switzerland for all people who are interested in applied ontology.
Applied ontology is an interdisciplinary field which studies the theory and practice of ontologies and which lies at the intersection of philosophy, information science, logic, linguistics, artificial intelligence and many other domains of inquiry.
The colloquium provides an opportunity to present original work on ontology research and applications for those who have been working in the domain of applied ontology, from inside and outside Switzerland and from both academia and industry.
