The talk will present an introduction to the anthropology of the senses (or “sensory anthropology”) and the interdisciplinary field of sensory studies, then a sensorial analysis of 20th and 21st century material culture, followed by a discussion of some of the principal findings of an ongoing research project called Explorations in Sensory Design.
