We are pleased to welcome Dr. Hugo Delottier from the University of Neuchâtel, who will discuss modelling approaches to improve irrigation scheduling and estimate water needs in agroecosystems.

Abstract
Agroecosystems are facing important challenges with respect to water management. Using models to support irrigation scheduling can help to quantify the irrigation needs in a proactive approach. One aspect of our project is to improve the capacity of decision-based models to provide robust estimates of irrigation volumes while accounting for necessary complexity of agroecosystems. Methodological development regarding this facet will be presented.
