Agroforestry at the Heart of Europe

8th European Agroforestry Conference EURAF 2026

Traditional agroforestry still is an important element of current farming systems in Switzerland and in all European countries.

Modern agroforestry maintains productive agricultural systems under climate change, sequesters carbon, protects soils and maintains biodiversity.

The EURAF Congresses: Every other year, 400+ scientists, policy makers and farmers discuss the latest advancements on agroforestry. The goals of the Congress are to:

  • Connect scientists, farmers and policy makers
  • Advance the know-how on agroforestry by learning across borders
  • Facilitate the planting of trees on farmland by translating scientific to practical know-how

The 2026 Congress will be organized at the University of Neuchâtel, which offers all facilities needed for an international event. The venue will also facilitate the informal exchange among participants, which is a key element to the success of such a conference.
