Meet the Microbes - Organization of an Open-Door Event (in collab. with CUSO)

Experience microbiology beyond the lab through interactive outreach at the Faculty of Science in Neuchâtel. Join experts and students in creating a public event that brings microbes closer to everyday life.

Collaboratively design and host an open‑door event on microbiology at the University of Neuchâtel. This activity combines science communication training with hands‑on event planning, making microbiology engaging and accessible to the public.

Participants will work together to define the event's theme and target audience, ensuring it reflects public interest and meets scientific outreach goals. The activity combines training in science communication with hands-on event planning, offering a unique opportunity to transform complex concepts into interactive experiences for non-specialists.

Registration via CUSO, also for DSLS places (3)

Reminder:

The DSLS reminds participants that for activities organised in collaboration with CUSO, only travel costs can be reimbursed, based on a standard half‑fare CFF return ticket between Neuchâtel and the activity location. Accommodation, meals, and other subsistence expenses are not covered unless lunch is explicitly included in the CUSO activity. Any exception must be requested in advance—at least five days before the event—and depends on available budget. Students attending through CUSO‑reserved places follow CUSO’s reimbursement rules, and all participants must keep their original tickets and receipts.
