La Commission Européenne a modifié son ERC work programme 2026 afin d'y inclure le nouveau instrument de financement ERC Plus Grants. Avec une subvention pouvant atteindre sept millions d'euros sur sept ans, ce programme soutiendra des chercheurs principaux exceptionnels qui ont pour ambition de transformer leur domaine actuel et d'ouvrir de nouvelles voies de recherche allant au-delà du champ d'application des programmes ERC existants.

Voici les principales caractéristiques provisoires de l'appel à venir :

Chercheurs éligibles/ciblés : les chercheurs de toutes nationalités et à tous les stades de leur carrière peuvent postuler à une bourse ERC Plus s'ils ont obtenu des résultats scientifiques exceptionnels à la pointe de leur domaine.

Budget et durée : jusqu'à 7’000’000 EUR accordés sous forme de contribution forfaitaire (lump sum) pour une période de 4 à 7 ans.

The European Commission has amended its ERC work programme 2026 to include the new funding scheme ERC Plus Grants. With a grant size of up to seven million euros for seven years the scheme will support outstanding Principal Investigators with a vision to transform their current field and to open new avenues in research that goes beyond the scope of existing ERC programmes.

These are the provisional main features of the forthcoming call:

Eligible/targeted researchers: scholars of any nationality and at all career stages can apply for an ERC Plus Grant if they have an outstanding record of scientific achievement at the forefront of their field. 

Budget and Duration: up to EUR 7’000’000 awarded as a single lump-sum contribution for a period of 4 to 7 years.
