Moot courts / Competitions with other universities

For many years, the University of Neuchâtel’s Faculty of Law has taken part in various competitions with other universities, often with excellent results. For instance, a team from Neuchâtel came first among Swiss Universities in the latest René Cassin Competition in 2008.

These events not only provide students with new impetus, but also bring different perspectives on the work of a lawyer, in contrast to the detached theoretical approach which can sometimes be found in legal lectures.

The Faculty encourages its students to make the most of these unique opportunities, and as such will pay towards any expenses, and award ECTS credits to students taking part.

The credits awarded for participation in a competition can substitute one, two or even three themed seminar modules.
