There are no special entry requirements. The course is aimed at students whose proficiency level is around B2. If you are not sure of your level, you can check the evaluation forms on our page "enseignement".

You will be asked to come to the EMA before the beginning of the semester to take a "Placement Test".

  • familiarize themselves with the format of the C1 Advanced exam
  • master key skills assessed in the Speaking test, including: providing personal information, making comparisons, expressing and justifying opinions, speculating, negotiating and reaching a decision

Each lesson will provide practice based on the different sections of the C1 Advanced test (Reading and Use of English, Listening, Speaking and Writing). Students will work individually, in pairs or take part in whole-class activities.

Students will be required to write one C1 Advanced-type essay of 220-260 words and take one end-of-semester test.

Please note that the recognition of these credits by the student's own Faculty falls outside the remit of the Centre de langues.
