Further information can be found on the website: https://www.ielts.org/

There are no special entry requirements. The course is aimed at students whose proficiency level is around B2-C1. If you are not sure of your level, you can check the evaluation forms on our page “Enseignement.”

The course will allow students to :

  • recognize the format of the IELTS exam
  • manage complex IELTS-type reading tasks
  • handle IELTS data description tasks

Each lesson will provide practice based on the four sections of the IELTS test (Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing). Speaking practice will include providing personal information and discussing various topics of personal or academic interest. Students will work individually, in pairs or take part in whole-class activities.

Flexi-course: the course is divided into 90-minute lessons taught over five weeks. Students are required to do 8 hours of self-study at the Espace Multimédia d’Auto-apprentissage (E.M.A.) during the semester.

Students will be required to write one IELTS-type data description and take a mock exam at the E.M.A. (on the Listening and Reading parts of the test).

The course material will be distributed in class. Students are required to contribute
CHF 5.- towards the cost of printing and photocopying
