Research:
My Ph.D. project is focusing on the surface-ground water interactions via UAV-based remote sensing techniques. The state-of-the-art UAV system can mount a Lidar scanner, a hyperspectral camera and a thermal sensor for very precise measurements of rivers, vegetation and snow terrains. The aim is the mapping of interesting and difficult to access locations which can provide us missing information and new datasets about the hydrogeological conditions and the topography of the mapped areas using innovative methods via image processing.
