Discover life at the University of Neuchâtel with our Révèle-toi 2026 ambassadors. Alicia, Léo, Aya, Kilian, Oriane and Emeric talk about their journeys and experiences. They present the many advantages of studying at UniNE and encourage you to enrol.
Oriane, 25, originally from Vevey, is a first-year Master’s student in speech therapy. In Neuchâtel, she has found an environment and a discipline in which she thrives. To relax and unwind, she enjoys reading, playing video games and crocheting. Since moving to Neuchâtel, she has been actively involved in university life. Oriane is keen to support fellow students, share her experience and contribute to a more human and accessible university experience.
Léo, 21, is a Bachelor’s degree student in Mathematics. Born and raised in Neuchâtel, he chose to study at UniNE because of its local roots and its warm and friendly atmosphere. He enjoys sports and has recently taken up the violin. Alongside his studies, he has been involved in several university activities. Léo wants to continue his involvement in order to promote the Faculty of Mathematics and share his experience.
Emeric, 21, is in his final year of a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Management. Originally from the canton of Vaud, he chose the University of Neuchâtel because this programme is unique in Switzerland and perfectly matches his interests. He particularly appreciates the university’s small size, which encourages interaction and a real sense of belonging. Passionate about outdoor activities, he is fully involved in student life. Emeric wants to continue his work as an ambassador to promote his programme, highlight the richness of student life in Neuchâtel and share his university experience.
After completing a Bachelor’s degree in law here at the University of Neuchâtel, Alicia decided to continue with a Master’s degree. The young woman appreciates all the advantages of a small university, including its proximity to the city centre, the railway station, the shopping centre and, of course, the lake, to which she says she is very attached. Her Master’s programme covers a wide range of topics and allows her to acquire a broad knowledge base. At UniNE, Alicia enjoys the close relationship with her professors and fellow students. And outside of Uni? Alicia has started her own event planning company, where she handles all legal aspects.
Aya arrived alone from France at the age of 18 to begin her studies at UniNE and is enjoying her Bachelor’s degree in biology. She particularly enjoys the practical work and plans to continue with a Master’s degree in Biology. She loves life at UniNE, especially the friendships she has made there, and she also appreciates the easy contact between students and professors. What she really loves about it? The highly developed human side, which is almost like a family. And of course the view of the lake from the Faculty of Science! Aya is determined to learn, take on challenges and give her all to represent the University of Neuchâtel in an authentic and committed way.
Kilian, who is from Valais, is studying geography and French literature. What attracted him to the University of Neuchâtel? Its emphasis on human geography. The university’s location, on the lakeside and on a human scale, were also decisive factors in his choice. Alongside his studies, the young man teaches French as a foreign language, which allows him to come into contact with other cultures. Kilian plans to continue with a Master’s degree in sustainable urban planning in Lausanne, and is also considering a career in teaching. In his spare time, Kilian enjoys skiing, reading and cooking, as well as museums, theatre and cinema. He is a fan of the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF)!
