Mentoring

Two complementary programmes to support our students throughout their bachelor’s degree.

Teacher-student mentoring

Personalised support from the very first year

From the moment they arrive in their first year of the Bachelor’s programme, our students benefit from a unique mentoring programme.

Each new student is contacted by one of our full professors for an informal initial meeting. This special opportunity allows them to get to know each other, discuss expectations, and identify any needs or questions.

Each professor mentors a small group of 4 to 5 students – his-her mentees – and remains available throughout the programme to:

  • Answer academic or study-related questions.
  • Advise on course or specialisation choices.
  • Offer a professional perspective and career advice.
  • Provide support in case of difficulties or doubts.

This direct and regular contact with a professor promotes personalised support, better integration, and an environment conducive to success.

Student-student mentoring

Shared peer experience

In parallel with teacher-student mentoring, the Faculty offers a student-student mentoring programme.

The aim is to enable first-year students to benefit from the support of an experienced student in order to facilitate their integration, academic success and personal development.

How does it work?

  • Mentor: a second year bachelor student who is motivated to share his-her experience.
  • Mentee: a student enrolled in the first year of bachelor study.

Regular meetings (at least three times per semester), as needed:
organising studies, working methods, integration into university life, etc.

What the programme offers

For mentees:

  • Help with adapting to university life and working methods.
  • Practical advice on how to better manage the studies.
  • Introduction to the social and community life of the university.

For mentors:

  • Development of communication and support skills.
  • Official certificate signed by the Dean.
  • Valuable experience for the CV.

Limitations and guidance

Mentors can guide and advise, but they do not replace the university’s official services nor a psychological support.
