Andrew Robotham

Path/Biography

Andrew Robotham is a senior lecturer and researcher at the Academy of Journalism and Media (AJM).

Of diverse origins, both through his family background (United Kingdom, Denmark, Switzerland) and his academic heritage (history, literature, political science, journalism and communication, with a brief period studying engineering), he joined academia following a previous career in communication for an international sports federation.

His research activities focus primarily on how new technologies are reshaping information practices and, consequently, impacting the public sphere and society more broadly.

His teaching activities are varied, often revolving around professional practices and their evolution. Courses are frequently conducted hand in hand with practitioners, with a dual objective: familiarizing students with current professional practices while fostering a reflexive approach that brings them to question and renew those practices.
