Gabriel Loumeau

Parcours/Biographie

Gabriel Loumeau est professeur ordinaire d’économie internationale à l’Université de Neuchâtel. Il a obtenu son doctorat (Dr. Sc.) à l’ETH Zurich en 2019. Sa thèse de doctorat a été distinguée comme dissertation exceptionnelle et a reçu la médaille de l’ETH en novembre 2020. Il est affilié au Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), au sein des programmes International Trade and Regional Economics et Economic History, ainsi qu’au CESifo Research Network.

Ses recherches portent sur les causes et les conséquences du développement urbain et régional. Ses travaux récents analysent les politiques d’adaptation à la hausse mondiale de l’urbanisation, les effets économiques de l’intégration des réseaux de transport et le rôle de la fiscalité dans le développement regional.
