Dean’s office

The Dean’s Office directs and administers the Faculty of Science.

It is made up of 3 to 5 members, including the Dean, the Vice-Dean and the Secretary of the Dean’s Office. They are all professors elected by the Faculty Council for a 2-year term, and are eligible for re-election. A deputy assists the Dean’s Office.

Main tasks of the Dean’s Office

  • prepare and implement the decisions of the Faculty Council and the Council of Professors

  • represent the Faculty in dealings with university authorities and outside the University

  • organize examination sessions and supervise their smooth running

  • oversee the preparation of the course curriculum

  • decide on requests for equivalence, deviations from the syllabus or examination program, or other special requests from students
