
The University aims to promote research on sustainability-related topics and to disseminate revelant knowledge for today’s and tomorrow’s society. Given the complex and multidisciplinary nature of sustainability issues, the four faculties can contribute to a better understanding through their research. UniNE intends to make a particularly significant contribution in its areas of expertise, such as sustainable agriculture and biodiversity conservation.
Several research actrivities carried out at the University of Neuchâtel focus on solving concrete sustainability problems. Below are a few examples of research groups and projects currently underway (non-exhaustive list):
The University encourages students to choose sustainability-related topics for their Master’s thesis. The interdisciplinary award for sustainable development (prix UniD) is awarded to two theses each year.
