[PI]2

Think outside the Box

What is [PI]2?

The Intellectual Property and Innovation Research Centre [PI] 2, founded in 2012, is part of the Faculty of Law of the University of Neuchâtel. Born of the Centre for Commercial Law, Fiscal Law and Innovation (CCFI) to which it has contributed since 2008, the [PI] 2, it considers the legal aspects of innovation from three principal angles, namely Intellectual Property Law, Commercial Law and Fiscal Law.

The approach followed is clearly multidisciplinary, as the Centre collaborates not only with the Health Law Institute (IDS) in the field of biotechnology, but also with specialists in Labour Law and Migration Law.

The interdisciplinary approach is taken because innovation only occurs in a favourable environment, not just in legal terms, but also politically, economically and socially, at national and international levels.

A study and skills centre open to the academic, economic and administrative sectors, [PI]2 organises numerous seminars, such as annual Start-ups, SMEs and Innovation day, and symposia on Fiscal Law.
