Swiss Association of Migration and Mobility Studies (SAMMS)

Interested in research on migration and mobility?

The Swiss Association of Migration and Mobility Studies (SAMMS) is open to all individuals and institutions with a strong interest in academic research on migration and mobility studies (with a link to Switzerland).

SAMMS will promote academic research, critical reflection, and public dialogue on migration and mobility in Switzerland and beyond.

SAMMS will:

  • Connect researchers working on migration and mobility,
  • Promote early-career development,
  • Facilitate the exchange of knowledge and methodologies across disciplines,
  • Support transdisciplinary exchange outside of academia, and
  • Disseminate research findings and news.

SAMMS will be funded by membership fees (to be set by the General Assembly), public and private grants, donations and sponsorships, and revenue from events.
