Short Bio

Evelyne Clerc is a tenured Professor of European Union (EU) law and competition law at the University of Neuchâtel (School of Law). She has served as a Commissioner in the Swiss Competition Commission (2005-2015), and previously as judge in the Swiss Board of Appeals for Federal Government Procurements (1996-2006). She earned both a J.D. and a PhD in law from University of Fribourg (Switzerland). She received a masters degree in EU Law from the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium) and holds an LL.M from New York University School of Law (NYU). She has been admitted to the bar in Switzerland and in New York. Her research interests lie in: competition law and policy; public procurements; European Union law and EU economic integration.
