PhD dissertation
  • Agents, persons and substances (Temporary title). Supervisor: Prof. Simon-Pierre Chevarie-Cossette. This project aims to address two reductionist worries about agency: the first is that we may reduce all causation done by human beings and animals to causation done by events; the second is that we may reduce the activity and agency of complex substances like us which are comprised of many parts, to the activities and agency of our parts.
