Image Treatment and Analysis in Microscopy - Part II - “Image analysis café”

10 February 2023

Venue: University of Geneva, Sciences III, room 0059

Instructor: Dr. Sylvain Loubéry, UNIGE

The course is organized in collaboration with the CUSO MPS

Description

This activity is a follow-up of the Image Treatment and Analysis in Microscopy - Part I taking place the previous day.
Only students registered to the Part I have access to this second part of the activity.

This second day (half a day, afternoon) of the course consists in an informal "image analysis café" aiming at finding solutions to problems encountered by the participants in their research projects.

For each participant, ~15 minutes will be taken to expose to the group an image analysis question or problem related to their research project, and to briefly discuss together this issue and possible ways to solve it.
During the rest of the afternoon, participants will be working on their image analysis issues on their computers (by themselves or in groups), while having informal discussions (between themselves and with the course teacher) in order to seek and develop solutions to the different issues.
No guarantee can be given that a working solution will be found on the spot for each problem but leads should be provided, hopefully enabling all participants to proceed after the course with the image analysis needed for their research projects.
