In its Health2030 strategy, the Federal Council chose to strengthen coordinated care in order to achieve high-quality, financially sustainable healthcare. In line with this strategy, integrated care networks, which focus on prevention and on coordination between providers and insurers, aim to improve the quality of care and to contain healthcare costs. The impact of these networks depends on the number of insured persons and physicians who join the insurance plans associated with them.
This project, led by the Institute of Economic Research (IRENE), studies the preferences of insured persons and physicians regarding these insurance plans. On the insured side, we will use anonymised data and an online survey. On the physician side, preferences will be explored through individual interviews.
