Yvan Norotte is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Neuchâtel.
He earned his PhD in Marketing from HEC Paris, with a specialization in judgment and decision making. Yvan’s research examines the role of social inferences in online interactions and their broader impact on consumers, firms, and society.
His work spans three main research streams: (1) consumer interactions in contexts of polarization and misinformation, (2) creator signaling in user-generated content networks, and (3) deceptive design practices on online platforms (dark patterns). Drawing on both secondary and experimental data, Yvan’s multi-method research sits at the intersection of marketing, psychology, and information systems.
