Maria Vermathen
Parcours/biographie
Maria Vermathen is currently conducting their doctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Sven Daniel Wolfe. During their master’s degree in Critical Urbanisms at the University of Basel and the University of Cape Town, they focused on geographies of sexualities, applying Southern theory to a Global North context, and the use of creative methods such as songs as queer archives of spatial knowledge. Their master’s thesis discussed informal infrastructures of mutual aid and representation created by sex workers in Marseille.
