Libra is the institutional repository of the University of Neuchâtel for open-access scientific publications. It was developed by the SISB in collaboration with Sitel using the open-source software DSpace-Cris.

The University of Neuchâtel adheres to the objectives of the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities. It supports and promotes the principle of open access to the publications of its members, with the aim of fostering knowledge and technology transfer and maximizing the impact of the research conducted within the institution.

In this context, the university provides its researchers with the institutional repository Libra, designed for the deposit and broad dissemination of the scientific output of the UniNE community.

Researchers at UniNE make an open-access version of their scientific publications available on libra, accompanied by a bibliographic record. If legal constraints prevent immediate open access, the bibliographic record indicates an embargo period, with an option to request the PDF directly from the author.
