Students who choose English as a specialized primary branch may receive five ECTS toward the completion of Module PP9, for a  professional internship in an English-speaking work place in Switzerland or abroad. In order to receive the credit, the minimum internship length must be four to six weeks, or the equivalent of 100 hours of work. Students must also write an essay at the end of their internship. Please note that the conditions of the internship, including the evaluation method, must be pre-approved by the Institute Director and must correspond to the University-wide requirement on credit for internships.  The LAP teaching program can count as an internship in addition to fulfilling the study abroad requirement (see Study Abroad)

Swiss nationals can now live and work freely in the UK without a permit. Professional internships abroad may be obtained through Studex or SOL . To organize an internship on your own, we also suggest the following sites:
