Hikaru Hotta joined the Institute of English Studies as a doctoral student in 2023. His research is currently funded by a Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship and a JASSO scholarship. His doctoral thesis aims to analyze meanings of formulaic language within the framework of Construction Grammar. Prior to coming to Neuchâtel, he earned a bachelor’s degree from International Christian University and a master’s degree from the University of Tokyo.
