Depuis l’analyse de la diaspora somalienne et érythréenne en Suisse, publiée en 2010 par le SEM, la communauté érythréenne s’est considérablement accrue et a évolué dans sa composition. Face à ces changements, ainsi qu’aux transformations profondes des politiques et pratiques en matière de migration et d’intégration, il paraît pertinent de mettre à jour et d’enrichir cette étude initiale. Adoptant une approche participative, ce nouveau travail aborde les thèmes suivants : la situation en Érythrée, la population érythréenne en Suisse et dans le monde, son inclusion socioéconomique et sociale, ses formes d’organisation culturelle, religieuse, sociale et politique, ses relations transnationales, ainsi que les questions de retour et les perspectives d’avenir.

Description

Since the analysis of the Somali and Eritrean diaspora in Switzerland published in 2010 by the SEM, the Eritrean community has grown considerably and evolved in its composition. Given these developments, as well as fundamental changes in migration and integration policies and practices, updating and expanding the original study appears necessary. Adopting a participatory approach, this new work addresses the following themes: the situation in Eritrea, the Eritrean population in Switzerland and worldwide, their socioeconomic and societal inclusion, their cultural, religious, social, and political forms of organization, transnational relations, as well as return and future prospects.

Seit der 2010 vom SEM veröffentlichten Analyse der somalischen und eritreischen Diaspora in der Schweiz ist die eritreische Bevölkerung zahlenmässig erheblich gewachsen und hat sich in ihrer Zusammensetzung gewandelt. Angesichts dieser Entwicklungen sowie grundlegender Veränderungen in der Migrations- und Integrationspolitik und -praxis erscheint eine Aktualisierung und Ergänzung der ursprünglichen Studie angezeigt. Unter Anwendung eines partizipativen Ansatzes behandelt diese neue Arbeit folgende Schwerpunkte: die Lage in Eritrea, die eritreische Bevölkerung in der Schweiz und weltweit, ihre sozioökonomische und gesellschaftliche Inklusion, ihre kulturellen, religiösen, sozialen und politischen Organisationsformen, transnationale Beziehungen sowie Rückkehr und Zukunftsperspektiven.
