Roxane completed her studies in Plant Functional Biology at the University of Montpellier, France. Thereafter, she was awarded a Doctoral School Fellowship to complete her PhD at the Institute of Plant Sciences of Montpellier (IPSiM) in the lab of Alexis De Angeli. There, she worked on the role of transporters mediating vacuolar organic acid transport, both in stomatal aperture regulation and in the regulation of primary metabolism in Arabidopsis thaliana. Through this work, she developed a strong interest in understanding plant metabolism. In October 2025, Roxane joined the lab of Lothar Kalmbach as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Neuchâtel. Here, she is investigating how and by which transporters, photoassimilates (carbon sources) are transported from the phloem to adjacent cells in the mature part of roots. She is interested in understanding how the allocation of these carbon sources impacts plant development.
