UniNE monitors its greenhouse gas emissions through an in-depth carbon footprint assessment every four years. For the years in between, a simplified assessment is carried out, including the main sources of emissions.

The University occasionally conducts surveys within its community on issues related to sustainability. For example, regular surveys on travel and commute practices, are used to estimate greenhouse gas emissions and to develop targeted actions to promote sustainable mobility.
