Welcome to the SAMMS!

The Swiss Association of Migration and Mobility Studies (SAMMS) was officially launched on 13 January 2026. The association aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and all those interested in migration and mobility in Switzerland and beyond.

Board members The founding board is composed of Clara Bombach, Didier Ruedin, Dina Bolokan, Laura Bertini-Soldà, Lisa Marie Borrelli, Maja Łysienia and Wegahta Sereke. The association is co-presided by Lisa Marie Borrelli and Didier Ruedin, and coordinated by Nora Bardelli.

Upcoming events The launch assembly was followed by a lecture — you can watch it here. Our first event will be the Swiss Conference of Migration and Mobility Studies (SCMMS). The next General Assembly will take place in November 2026.
