Self-initiated activities fund

Supporting self-initiated projects and career development

To foster initiative and support the autonomy of postdoctoral researchers, a dedicated fund has been established to finance self-initiated activities that contribute to professional development and enhance the scientific visibility of early-career researchers.

This initiative is designed to provide space for freedom and creativity. It enables each postdoctoral researcher to design and carry out a personal project that will enrich their academic journey and strengthen their professional network—both within and beyond the academic sphere.

Projects may take various forms, such as:

  • Organizing a conference, workshop, seminar, or reading group
  • Creating resources or tools that promote knowledge sharing or skills transfer

For any questions regarding eligible activities, please contact the Graduate Campus responsible.

Funding will be awarded through an annual call for proposals. Applications will be evaluated based on a motivation dossier outlining:

  • The objectives and relevance of the project for the applicant’s career development
  • The proposed action plan and estimated budget
  • The expected impact on the scientific community or the relevant professional field
