Climate fund

As part of its Climate Action Plan, the University aims to increase the resources available for climate action. Thus, the climate fund was created to finance initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions on campus and local climate protection projects. The fund is financed by sustainability contributions levied on air travel and proceeds from parking facilities.

The rectorate defines priorities for the use of the climate fund, in accordance with its strategic plans. The UniD coordination is responsible for proposing projects to the rectorate. Details of how the fund is used are given in the annual sustainable development report.
