Adrian Holzer is Full Professor of Information Systems at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

Before joining the University of Neuchâtel in 2018, Adrian Holzer obtained a PhD in Information Systems at HEC Lausanne (2009), was a research fellow at Polytechnique Montréal and later at EPFL. More recently, he was Visiting Professor at the University of Technology Sydney.

He is co-creator of the SpeakUp mobile application, a free, open-source platform, hosted in Switzerland, used across several Swiss universities to support interaction and engagement in classrooms.

His research lies at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Systems, and digital innovation, with a focus on how digital technologies shape behaviour, learning, and decision-making. His work is published in venues such as ACM CHI, Computers & Education, the European Journal of Information Systems, and IEEE Transactions journals.
