  • Immigration
    • For information on residence permits and study visas please go to the following page .
    • Non European Community/AELE residents will be asked to make a deposit of CHF 18'000 in a Swiss bank account at any bank located in Switzerland.
       
    • Should the Service des migrations (Neuchâtel migration service) not grant you a residence/student permit you will not be enrolled at the University of Neuchâtel.

  • Healthcare

    Healthcare is mandatory in Switzerland. There are two options: 

    • Insure yourself in your home country, if applicable.

    Download the corresponding form.
    Check with your healthcare insurance.

    • Buy insurance as soon as your arrive at the University of Neuchâtel.

    For assistance, go to the Student Services' Office.

    Opening hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 am - 11 am and 2:pm - 5 pm. No appointment needed.

  • Neuchâtel

    Neuchâtel is located 120 km from Geneva and 150 km from Zurich, travel time by train from Geneva airport is 1h20 and 1h30 from Zurich airport.

    Located on the western side of the lake of Neuchâtel, the biggest Swiss lake, the region is know all over the world for its watch industry http://www.neuchateltourisme.ch/.

NB: Academia and Moodle are separated. Academia is for administrative inscriptions. Moodle is a plateform between students and professors .

  • In Academia, you have two modules :
    1. For Registration of Courses :
    You must register to courses to be allowed to register for exams

    2. For Registration of Exams/Evaluations.
    - CA (Continuous assessment) : Once registerd at the course, you are automatically registered for the evaluation of CA which is mandatory at the end of semester
    ​- To retake the evaluation, you have to register at the exam session desired and contact the professor to find a date with him.

    - Written 2h (during any session of exams) : You have to register in Academia, but you can choose at which exams session you want to register.
