Project
I am doing my Master’s thesis on the relationship between trees and urban soils in the Jeunes Rives area of Neuchâtel. I will study the soil conditions where cedars and poplars are dying due to pathogenic fungi, to compare them with the soil conditions where healthy cedars and poplars are found.
The map of my study sites and the different urban soils. Points C1, C2 and C3 indicate the cedars studied, and points P1, P2 and P3 indicate the poplars. The blue lines delimit the soil of the “Jardin Anglais”, the pink lines that of the “Quartier des Beaux-Arts” and the yellow lines that of the “Jeunes Rives”.
