Who we are

Opening on February 1, 2022, the Transdisciplinary Institute of Social Work (ITTS), supported by swissuniversities, was established to develop highly skilled professionals in the field of social work in Switzerland. The University of Neuchâtel and the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (HES-SO) have decided to join forces to create a doctoral program in social work and develop ITTS as a national center of excellence in social work education and research. As of January 1, 2025, the Fachhochschule Nordwest Schweiz (FHNW) will become a partner in this initiative.
