Siwar Khelifa is currently a post-doctoral researcher and lecturer at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. She hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Lyon 2, France.
In 2022, she worked as a research and teaching fellow at the Saint Etienne School of Economics, France. She has also held visiting scholar positions at the Department of Economics at the University of Sherbrooke, Canada—in 2021 and again from January to March 2025.
Her research explores the impact of environmental threats on human capital formation, with a particular focus on health and education. She is also interested in the role of migration as a response to climate variability, as well as issues related to forced migration.
