Nima Ostovan is a PhD student in Marketing at UNINE and a recipient of an SNSF grant supporting his research on consumer behavior and decision-making (Link to the SNSF Grant).
His doctoral research investigates how luxury perceptions and status signals shape consumer behavior, the role of self-continuity in preferences, and how intertemporal choices and time perception influence decision-making. He also explores the impact of inherited valuable objects, artifacts, and cultural capital on shaping consumer identity and connections to the past.
Before joining UNINE, Nima earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology and a Master’s degree in Marketing from Sharif University of Technology.
