Florian Eugster

Biography

Florian Eugster is an Associate Professor of Auditing & Director of the Institute of Accounting, Control and Auditing at the University of St.Gallen. He is affiliated with the Swiss Finance Institute. Before his position, he was an Associate Professor at the Stockholm School of Economics, where he earned tenure in March 2021. He earned his doctoral degree from the University of Zurich. He has working experience as Employee Purchase Program Manager and Project leader, as well as teaching experience from several lectures and seminars on various accounting and finance topics.

Prof. Dr. Florian Eugster’s research has concentrated on auditing, sustainability, and the disclosure of company-specific information on the capital market. He has answered research questions such as how the extroverted character of a manager influences company disclosure, whether companies can lower their capital costs by increasing information disclosure, and to what extent improved reporting influences companies’ future profitability.
