The Annual PhD meeting first aim is to create an opportunity for the DSLS PhD members to meet each other, learn about the great diversity of projects conducted at our Institute, share experiences, and create a community. The first day is dedicated to PhD presentations and social activities.

For the second day, we have invited Daniel Saraga , a specialist in media training and science communication

Communicating with the Public and the Media

How can you showcase your research and share your knowledge with society? The key it to adapt how you communicate to your audience. This workshop will give you with practical tools to ensure that your messages are understood and impactful, mixing theory, practical examples, discussions and exercises. It will cover the different communication channels you can use, address the relationship between science and politics, and focus on how to deal with media inquiries.
