Research:
Land systems | Land degradation | Biodiversity | Earth observation | Social-ecological dynamics | Sustainable land management
My research focuses on the social-ecological nexus of climate change, biodiversity, land degradation, and human well-being. I investigate landscape dynamics and sustainable land management, using satellite Earth observation and geospatial approaches to support Land Degradation Neutrality and biodiversity conservation.
Current Project:
LAND-PRIOR: LANDscape Dynamics and Target PRIORitization for Land Degradation Neutrality at the Frontiers of Human-Degraded Savannah in West Africa. 2026-2027 (Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF)-P5R5-1_239352)
