The FARCE lab – Foundamental and Applied Research in Chemical Ecology – from the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland), icipe – International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (Kenya), Dudutech (Kenya), and CABI– Centre for Agricultural Bioscience International (Switzerland) held a joint project kick-off meeting at ICIPE’s headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, on April 4th and 5th, 2024.
The meeting brought together all partners for the first time, providing an excellent opportunity for everyone to get to know one another, share perspectives, and discuss the project’s aims, timelines, and next steps.
Participants also visited icipe’s impressive research facilities, gaining valuable insight into the institute’s ongoing work. Within the project, icipe will be responsible for both laboratory and field research, while Dudutech will contribute through its expertise in the mass production of nematodes.
The discussions were constructive and forward-looking, marking a strong start to this collaborative initiative. The next project meeting is planned to take place in Switzerland in 2026.
