Student Mobility

170 Erasmus agreements and 14 international conventions

Would you like a change of scene and see the world without putting your studies on hold? Then study exchanges are for you!

UniNE strongly encourages you to do a part of your studies (1 or 2 semesters) in another university in Switzerland or abroad.  To this end, the University regularly signs students exchange agreements with other universities and offers administrative support for the preparation of your stay. Different types of financial aid are available: scholarships specific to your field of study, state-funded scholarships, etc.

An exchange semester/year forms a part of the student’s study programme. In terms of content and/or workload, courses taken at a different university replace all or part of those you would have taken had you remained at UniNE. During your stay, you remains enrolled at UniNE.

Exchanges in Switzerland and abroad

A study exchange is usually made within the framework of a programme (Mobility CH, Swiss European Mobility Programme (SEMP), the Quebec exchange programme) or a convention (agreements exist with universities and colleges in the United States, Australia, South America, Taïwan, etc). Exchanges can, however, be arranged independently of any programme.

The University of Neuchatel is also a member of two cooperation networks (BeNeFri and Triangle Azur) which allow you to follow courses at other Swiss universities in the region (Universities of Bern, Freiburg, Geneva and Lausanne). Under certain conditions, travel expenses are reimbursed.
