Alain Schönenberger

Adjunct professor

Biography

Alain Schönenberger is adjunct professor at the Institute for Economic Research of the Université de Neuchâtel, Switzerland and lecturer at the University of Geneva (master in public administration). Besides his teaching activities in Neuchâtel (economics and public finance, economics) he carries out research and consultancy contracts on economic and public policy issues (e.g. forestry economics, impact studies, statistical work, public finance).

Alain Schoenenberger studied economics in Geneva and public finance at the University of Buckingham (GB). His professional carrier started at the University of Geneva where he was a teaching assistant, senior assistant and researcher, and on several occasions a consultant at the OECD for the Economic Survey of Switzerland. In 1989, Alain Schönenberger was, with Prof. Paul Dembinski, co-founder of Eco’Diagnostic, a consultancy firm based in Geneva, for which he still works as an independent consultant.
