Biography
Dominique Biedermann earned his PhD in economics from the University of Geneva and received the doctor honoris causa award of the University of Fribourg. He co-founded the Ethos Foundation in 1997, an organization dedicated to socially responsible investment, currently consisting of more than 220 Swiss institutional members, mostly pension funds. He was successively CEO and chairman of the board of Ethos until June 2018.
Currently Dominique is an independent board member, in particular he is member of the board of directors of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives, chairman of the Committee of Ethics and Deontology of the University of Geneva and member of the board of the Sicav « Phitrust Active Investors France » in Paris. In parallel, he is a consultant for different institutions and teaches courses in the field of corporate governance, corporate social responsibility and socially responsible investment.
