  • Know how to use EndNote or Mendeley for managing references and PDFs.

Content

Literature search and reference management are challenging tasks because (1) retrieval of all relevant papers is the aim, (2) looking through long result lists is time-consuming, (3) full-text access is needed, (4) many paper PDFs have to be organised. In this workshop, we discuss tools and techniques to overcome these challenges.

  • Web of Science
  • other useful bibliographic databases
  • current awareness services
  • full-text access
  • EndNote: reference and PDF management
  • Mendeley: reference and PDF management

Every participant works on his or her research topic. Every participant has to bring a notebook computer with internet access. Please make sure to have EndNote or Mendeley on your notebook.
