Website: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jessicavieirateixeira/
Research:
As a researcher, my goal is to identify strategies for restoring degraded tropical agroecosystems by enhancing biodiversity, ecosystem services, and overall ecosystem functioning. For my PhD, I analyze data from a biodiversity enrichment experiment established in an oil palm plantation. Specifically, I aim to understand biodiversity patterns, ecosystem services, and species interactions in oil palm-dominated landscapes.
Education:
2017 – 2018: MSc Biodiversity and Conservation, University of Leeds, UK.
Master’s Research Project: Impacts of smallholder crop management on functional biodiversity of ground-dwelling ants in oil palm plantations. Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Keith Hamer.
2013 – 2014: Study Abroad Program, Biology, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.
2009 – 2015: Undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences, Federal University of Goiás (UFG), Brazil.
