Research interest
I am a behavioural ecologist interested in interactions within and between groups and mainly in communication between individuals.
I obtained my Master’s degree in Science at the University of Dijon (France), by studying culture and social learning of gestural communication in wild vervet monkeys (Chlorocebus aethiops). For this project, I went 6 months on the field to the Inkawu Vervet Project.
I have recently joined the team working in the Primate Research Center of Basel as a research assistant. I am currently working on two different projects. The first one concerns social learning and vocal communication of gorillas (Gorilla gorilla gorilla). To investigate these questions I work with the individuals through touch-screens devices. The second project that I am involved in concerns decision-making of gorillas and orangutans (Pongo abelii). For this project, I work in collaboration with Pénélope Lacombe, as part of her PhD.
