Research interests

PhD thesis entitled "Ecology and evolution of belowground-aboveground multitrophic interactions mediated by plants: plant resistance along an elevation gradient".

My research interests are mainly addressed towards plant defences against herbivore insects in the context of elevation gradients where depending on biotic and abiotic factors plants are driven to adopt a trade-off  between the growth and defences to maximise their fitness.

Main topics

  • microbial soil communities
  • plant-mycorrhizal fungi symbiosis
  • induced plant defences
  • physicochemical defences
  • herbivore insects
  • Plantago lanceolata

Teaching activities

  • Practical work on soil physicochemical analyses.
